About Us

Arkansas Groundwater Users Association (AGUA) was formed in 1995 to “…protect and develop the surface and underground waters of the State of Colorado in the Arkansas Basin to their fullest use.”AGUA Articles of Incorporation 1/12/1995

Simply put, the organization was formed to purchase and lease surface water to augment well pumping for its members.  It is a member owned organization. There are currently 260 member wells in AGUA. 

 

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

AGUA is governed by a five member Board of Directors.

· Keith Beattie—Vice-President

· John Sliman—Secretary/Treasurer

· Rick Glover—Director

· Sam Fosdick—Director

· Matt Davison—Booth/Orchard representative

· Terry Shaw—MAGUA representative

Directors are elected for three year terms at the annual meeting of shareholders.  All members in good standing are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors

Regular Board meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the AGUA office.  Members are welcome to attend.

 

OFFICE STAFF

The day to day operation of the organization is handled by a two person staff, located at the Pueblo office.
